Born in Brazil, he trained at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. In 2009 he joined Stuttgart Ballet, and was promoted to principal dancer in 2013. He danced leading roles in ballets by John Cranko, Jerome Robbins, George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, Kenneth MacMillan, Glen Tetley and Hans van Manen. New works were created on him by choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Wayne McGregor, Jorma Elo and Marco Goecke. He made his debut with Dutch National Ballet as a guest artist in 2015 and joined the company as principal dancer in 2016. He has performed as a guest artist with companies worldwide including The Australian Ballet, Czech National Ballet, Tokyo Ballet, the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg and The Royal Ballet. He was frequently awarded, and his prizes include European Most Promising Award by the European Foundation for Culture in 2009, Audience Choice at The Erik Bruhn Prize competition in Toronto, Canada in 2011 and Positano Premia la Danza Léonide Massine in 2017.
