Guido Sarno was born in Naples, where he enrolled at the Ballet School and Lyceum of Mara Fusco in 1996 and later won a scholarship in 2003 at the Rudra Béjart School, Lausanne. He had a diverse and distinguished professional career, and was recognized as a superb leading dancer. He worked for the following ballet companies: Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Ballet de l’Opéra de Bordeaux, and then as Principal Dancer for the Ballet de l’Opéra de Nice and the Czech National Ballet.

After retiring from dancing, he gained recognition as a guest coach at prestigious venues worldwide. He has been a noted freelance ballet master and assistant to several choreographers since 2018 and is also a choreographer. He also has staged and coached many ballet repertory pieces in various companies, including the Estonian National Ballet, Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet, Opéra de Nice, Ballet du Capitole Toulouse, Theater Basel, Poznań Opera Ballet, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Tatar State Opera Kazan, and Balletto del Sud.
With the start of the 2024/2025 season, he became a member of the ballet master staff of the Polish National Ballet.
