Self-taught fashion and costume designer, Konrad Parol started his career designing costumes and working as stylist for Polish music videos. He founded two Polish fashion labels: Konrad Parol and Boys Left Girls Right / BLGR.
His relationship with theatre began in 2012. He designed costumes for Maja Kleczewska’s productions: Bracia i siostry (Kochanowski Theatre, Opole, Poland), Winter Journey and Shadows. Euridice Says after Elfriede Jelinek (Polski Theatre, Bydgoszcz), The Tempest after William Shakespeare (Deutsches Schauspielhaus, Hamburg, Germany), The Rats after Gerhard Hauptmann (Powszechny Theatre, Warsaw), and Waiting for the Barbarians by J.M. Coetzee (Deutsches Schauspielhaus).
Konrad Parol also designed for Wyspa Marivaux directed by Iwo Vedral (Wybrzeże Theatre, Gdańsk, Poland), Nikt nie byłby mną lepiej. Koncert directed by Łukasz Chotkowski (Lubuskim Theatre, Zielona Góra, Poland), and Gyubala Wahzara directed by Paweł Świątek (National Stary Theatre, Kraków). His costumes and masks for Winter Journey were commended by Elfriede Jelinek herself.
