Lea Mattausch is a director, photographer, video artist working for theatre and opera, filmmaker, and author of video and sound installations. She exhibits in Lisbon, Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Warsaw.
Since 2006 she has been regularly collaborating with stage director Barbara Wysocka. She devised projections for Oliver Frljić's The Curse (Teatr Powszechny, Warsaw), Philip Glass's The Fall of the House of Usher (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw), Peter Handke's Kaspar (Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny), Heiner Müller's Wolokolamsker Chaussee I-V (Teatr Polski, Wrocław), Fyodor Dostoyewski's Gentle Spirit, Teatr Polski, Bydgoszcz), Georg Büchner's Lenz (National Theatre, Warsaw), Pascal Dusapin's Medeamaterial (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw), Eugeniusz Knapik's Moby Dick (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw), and Ludomir Różycki's Eros and Psyche (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw).
Since 2010 she has been working in tandem with Artur Sienicki.
