Marcelina Beucher graduated with distinction from the Wrocław Academy of Music under her mother, Professor Maria Czechowska-Królicka. In 2012 she was an Erasmus student in Riga. In 2016 she received a Soroptimist International scholarship.
She made her professional opera debut in 2013 at the Baltic Opera, Gdańsk, Poland singing Violetta in Karolina Sofulak's production of La Traviata under Andriy Yurkevych. In 2014 she received the Jan Kiepura Award for the best debut of the year.
Th soprano is a prizewinner of a range of singing competitions in Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, and Lithuania, including the International Vocal Competition in Vilnius 2011 (honourable mention), 3rd Adam Didur Opera Singers' Competition in Bytom, Poland, 2012 (special award), 1st Andrzej Hoilski International Singing Competition in Kudowa-Zdrój, 2012 (finalist), Musica Sacra, Rome, 2012 (oratorio prize), 6th Halina Halska-Fijałkowska International Singing Competition, Wrocław, 2013 (Second Prize), I Love Mozart, Music Theatre Poznań, 2013 (main prize), 50th International Vocal Competition s’Hertogenbosch, 2014 (prizewinner), 1st Eva Martón Singing Competition, Hungary 2014 (Third Prize and three special awards), 4th Jāzeps Vītols International Singing Competition, Latvia 2015 (First Prize), 17th Hariclea Darclée Singing Competition, Romania 2015 (Excelenca award, jury award), Marcella Sembrich-Kochanska International Voice Competition, New York 2015 (honorary prize), and Placido Domingo Operalia Competition, Guadalajara 2016, Mexico (semifinalist).
She took part in master classes conducted by: Teresa Żylis-Gara, Elizabeth Wilke, Helena Łazarska, Andrzej Dobber, Urszula Kryger, Stefania Kałużanka, Sabina Martinaityte, Ester de Bros, Ingrid Kremling, Roberta Aleksander, Vladimir Prodnikov, Simone Fermani, Mariana Nicolesco, Nadine Secunde, Izabela Kłosińska, Leontina Vaduva, and Anna Sims.
Repertoire includes: Saffi in Johann Strauss's Gypsy baron, Kálmán's Countess Marica, Olimpia, Antonia, Giulietta, and Stella in Offenbach's The Tals of Hoffmann (Kraków Opera); Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème (Kraków Opera; Podlasie Philharmonic and Opra); Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen (Opera na Zamku, Szczecin), Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata (Opera na Zamku, Szczecin; Baltic Opera), First Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute (Polish National Opera), and Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni (Trentino Music Festival 2017).
She has participated in festivals and concert in Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, France, Indonesia, and the US. She sang the soprano part in Bach's St. Matthew Passion and Mozart Requiem in a tour of the Netherlands for a few seasons.
She has performed under the baton of Tomasz Tokarczyk, Andriy Yurkevych, José Maria Florêncio, Victor Bobkov, Andrzej Knap, Viesturs Gailis, Dariusz Tabisz, Alan Urbanek, Tomasz Bugaj, Marco Balderi, Tadeusz Zathey, Francesco Bottigliero, Tadeusz Kozłowski, Berniak, and Jackson, and worked with stage directors such as Cezary Tomaszewski, Jacek Jabrzyk, Elżbieta Lejman-Krzysztyniak, Katarzyna Sofulak, Laco Adamik, Natalia Babińska, Barrie Kosky/Susanne Andrade, and David Gately.
She has recorded two albums: Teatr Muzyczny dla Poznania (Filharmonia w Poznaniu, conductor: José Maria Florêncio) and XII Koncert noworoczny (Filharmonia Narodowa, conductors: Piotr Sułkowski, Jerzy Maksymiuk).
Currently, she works on her Ph.D. and teaches at the Wrocław Academy of Music.
