Mariusz Kamiński is holds a degree in industrial company orgnaisation and design from the Faculty of Wood Technology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. From 1997 to 2007 he worked at Forte Group.
He joined the Polish National Opera in 2007 as the head of costume, decorations and props production department. Until 2022 he oversaw the production of nearly a hundered new operas, ballets, concerts and other events, working with leading set designers, costume designers, stage diretors, and choreographers.
He was involved in the complex processes of adjusting the sets and sceneries of the Polish National Opera's international co-productions to fit the technical requirements and conditions of such major opera venuesasthe Metropolitan Opera in New York La Forza del destiono, Iolanta/Bluebeard's Castle, Tristan and Isolde), New National Theatre Tokyo (Boris Godunov), Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Bejing (Tristan and Isolde), the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie / De Munt in Brussels (Die tote Stadt), the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv (Peter Grimes), the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence (Peléas et Mélisande), the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia (Les Troyens).
Simultaneously, in 2017–2018, he was a task leader as part of the project 'Development of the potential of the Polish National Opera: the purchase of equipment for cultural activity' part-financed by the EU.
In 2022 he took over as the Polish National Opera's Technical Director.
