Lilla Lee was born in Yeongcheon in South Korea.
During her studies she began her career at Teatro alla Scala as a member of the choir in a concert conducted by Maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti.
In 2003 she graduated from the Milan Conservatory and the same year she attended the Training and Proficiency Course at the Arturo Toscanini Accademia di Canto in Parma, where she obtained two scholarships as well. There she interpreted a major role in a baroque opera “Il matrimonio anascoso” by Leonardo Leo.
In 2004, her career took another dimension while studying intensively with bass Bonaldo Giaiotti, when she changed from mezzo-soprano to soprano.
A brilliant solo performance of “Misa Andina” by Alejandro Nunez Allauca at the Cathedral of Cordova (2001) and at the Sant’Ignazio Church in Rome (2002), under the artistic direction of Luis Alva and conducted by Maestro Pietro Mianiti gave her wide recognition in media as well as personal appreciation by the President of Peru.
