Mezzo-soprano Seray Pınar is currently a member of the soloist ensemble of the Opéra National de Paris, where she is building an international career distinguished by a versatile repertoire and acclaimed performances.
She has already attracted considerable attention in roles such as Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette), Mercédès (Carmen), Marchesa Melibea (Il viaggio a Reims), and Varvara (Káťa Kabanová). Her repertoire further includes Angelina (La Cenerentola), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Sesto (La clemenza di Tito), Idamante (Idomeneo), Romeo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Maddalena (Rigoletto), and the title role in Carmen, among others.
As a concert soloist, she has appeared with the Nürnberger Symphoniker. Her rapidly developing international career has brought her to prestigious stages and festivals, including the Salzburg Festival and the Rossini Opera Festival. A laureate of several important competitions, she was awarded First Prize at the Young National Soloist Award and Third Prize at the Neue Stimmen Competition 2024.
Born in Türkiye, Seray Pınar graduated with highest honors from the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. Following further studies in Italy and advanced training with the renowned mezzo-soprano Ferda Yetişer, she joined the Ankara State Opera and Ballet, where she performed the role of Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana. Between 2022 and 2024, she was a member of the Académie de l’Opéra National de Paris, laying the foundation for a career that is now flourishing on the international operatic stage.
