Sławomir Naborczyk is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, Poland, where he studied under Marek Moździerz and Tadeusz Szlenkier. He has participated in master classes led by Neil Shicoff, Eytan Pessen, Matthias Rexroth, Izabella Kłosińska, Helena Łazarska, Katarzyna Rymarczyk, Adam Kruszewski, Leszek Świdziński, Matias Robas, and Tomasz Konieczny. He won third prize at the Polish National Competition for Operetta and Musical Singers in Kraków (2016), third prize at the 3rd Polish National Krystyna Jamróz Singing Competition in Busko Zdrój, special prize at the International Ars et Gloria Competition of Sacred Music in Katowice (2017), and second prize at the 12th International Złote Głosy Competition in Warsaw (2017). He made his debut in 2011 as Basilio in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at the Young Opera Forum, Opera Nova, Bydgoszcz. Other roles include: Blacksmith in de Falla’s Life is Short and the title role in Millocker’s The Beggar Student. He performs with the Silesian Opera, the Zabrze Philharmonic, Musica Viva (Bremen, Lilenthal, Schwerin). In 2017 he sang Abdallo in a concert performance of Verdi’s Nabucco in Bremen. He has worked with such conductors as Maciej Figas, Piotr Wajrak, Piotr Sułkowski, Sławomir Chrzanowski, Zygmunt Rychert, Warcisław Kunc, Jerzy Wołosiuk, Gabriel Chmura, Michał Marcin Sompoliński, Michał Klauza. Mr Naborczyk is a member of Opera Academy, the young talent development programme of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera.
