European opera houses joined together to devise a special free online celebration of music-making to mark World Music Day on 21 June 2020. The concert is available for watching for free on OperaVision and vod.teatrwielki.pl until 21 July 2020.
The eight contributing houses are Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, Komische Oper Berlin, Glyndebourne, Teatro Real Madrid, Opéra Comique Paris, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Royal Swedish Opera Stockholm and Polish National Opera Warsaw.
Compered by Kasper Holten from the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, the OperaVision Summer Gala encompasses a journey through operetta and song with top Dutch artists Eva-Maria Westbroek and Thomas Oliemans in Amsterdam; Barrie Kosky’s unique take on Yiddish operetta from Berlin; Glyndebourne’s châtelaine Danielle de Niese at home with tenor Allan Clayton; Mozart and a rare Spanish discovery from Madrid; Parisian joie de vivre from the Opéra Comique; classic Verdi and verismo from Rome; star soprano Nina Stemme in Wagner and her native Stenhammar from Stockholm; and an international medley of Moniuszko, Mozart, Korngold and Rossini from Warsaw by excellent baritone Andrzej Filończyk.

In 2016 he won first prize at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Singing Competition in Warsaw.
