The premiere of the Polish National Ballet director’s version of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre is now behind him. So far, Krzysztof Pastor has designed mostly original ballets; The Nutcracker in Vilnius is his first production of one of the most popular works from the great classical repertoire. The premiere took place on 21 November 2014. The show, which our choreographer staged among sets designed by Vyacheslav Okunev and under the musical direction of Valery Ovsyanikov, is hugely popular in Vilnius.
