The exhibition explores the links between Polish and Italian musicians active in 19th-century Warsaw, focusing on Cesare Trombini, prominent conductor and two-time music director of the Teatr Wielki, and prominent singers of the time: Jan and Edward Reszke, Mattia Battistini, and Aristodemo Sillich. The most interesting and most valuable object on display is Trombini's journal with autographs of such towering figures as Niccolò Paganini, Giuseppe Verdi, and Anton Rubinstein.
