Carried out in collaboration with Fundacja Promocji Kultury OtwArte, the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Italian Culture Institute in Warsaw, the project aims to explore the links between Polish and Italian musicians active in 19th-century Warsaw, focusing on Cesare Trombini, prominent conductor and two-time music director of Teatr Wielki.
Apart of an extensive review of Polish and international archives, the project seeks to popularise Theatre Museum's memorabilia associated with Italian musicians active in Warsaw through publications and an exhibition.
The project is funded through the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage's programme 'Musical Trace'.
