Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra: 2026 Invincible Tour
Opening concert
This is the only time in our history when we hope a concert like this never happens again. Formed by Ukrainian musicians and led by Ukrainian-Canadian conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson, the orchestra will play at the Polish National Opera for the fifth time since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The war goes on, and so does the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra. We are determined to show our support to the embattled nation until their fight continues.
Let this year’s concert remind us all that resistance may take many forms, and that art can be a powerful voice at the hardest times and in the most unspeakable circumstances.
This concert features the world premiere of Gloria, written for the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra by Bohdanaa Frolyak, a prominent Ukrainian composer well-known to Polish audiences and an admirer of Adam Zagajewski’s poetry. The powerful new work will be followed by two classical pieces: Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder performed by the soprano Julia Kleiter and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
