Two live concerts on vod.teatrwielki.pl
On 5 May, the composer’s birthday, at 6 p.m. CET, Olga Pasichnyk (soprano) and Ewa Pobłocka (piano) will perform the most beautiful of Moniuszko songs live to an empty auditorium of the Redutow Rooms of the Teatr Wielki.
Later in the evening, at 8 p.m. CET, students, graduates, and teachers of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk will give a special concert of Moniuszko’s sacred songs at St John's Church in Gdańsk to the accompaniment of a reconstructed baroque organ.

Operas such as The Haunted Manor, Halka (Vilnius version), Flis, Paria and ballets Husband and Wife and Sarmatian Parable have been available on our VOD service for some time now. Our audiences will undoubtedly appreciate a mini concert by the Chorus and Orchestra of the Polish National Opera under Marta Kluczyńska, who will perform a fragment of Halka, Po nieszporze przy niedzielifrom their homes. Alfred Wiltos, a member of the Orchestra, will play the composer’s pieces in an unusual arrangement for the cello. Follow our Stories to take part in our Moniuszko music quiz.
