In light of the tragic events in Kraków on 7 November 2026 and the national mourning declared by the President of the Republic of Poland, the performance of María de Buenos Aires on 8 November at noon has been cancelled. We have also cancelled today’s guided tours of the opera house building.

The performance of Charles Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet after William Shakespeare’s tragedy will be held as planned at 6 p.m. tonight. Together with the audience, our artists and staff will honour the victims with a minute of silence before the curtain-up.
